Prior Application for Visit to the Ookayama Library

Those who need to use library materials in the Ookayama Library are required to apply here in advance.
Before filling in the form, please read the following page for visitors.

*Alumni who have a “Kuramae Card”, The Union of Four Universities in Tokyo Members and United Nations University Members can visit the library without prior application. Note that if you want the materials reserved, you need to apply in advance.

*We will not reserve any materials for in-library-use only .

Applications can be submitted from 2 weeks to 2 business days before your visit.
Visitors cannot use the Ookayama library during the following periods of exams:

Tuesday, May 21, 2024, ~ Friday, June 7, 2024
Tuesday, July 23, 2024, ~ Monday, August 5, 2024
Thursday, November 21, 2024, ~ Wednesday, December 4, 2024
Tuesday, January 28, 2025, ~ Tuesday, February 11, 2025

who need our library materials for academic research and/or study.

who need our library materials that are unavailable for the ILL services via his/her affiliation or a public library.

  • Before applying, please search the Library Catalogue and confirm the material you need is available.
  • A visit for commercial copying is prohibited.
  • A visit to use the facilities only is not accepted.
  • Science Tokyo members are given priority as the Library belongs to the Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo).
  • All visitors are required to comply with the Science Tokyo Library Regulations (written in Japanese).
  • One application per person is required for each day.
